about
This song is a collaboration between the poet Anne-Marie Silbiger and musician Geraint Rhys. It is a tribute to Anne-Marie's husband and all proceeds will go to the Critical Care staff at UCLH in London.
Anne-Marie "This song is a tribute to my husband Ian Silbiger who died on 29th October 2019 from community contracted pneumonia and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
My words allow you a glimpse into our life together, into our lives living under the truly tragic burden of mental and physical illness.
I hope you love it as much as I do."

lyrics
Verse
Breathe in, Breathe out,
He’s waiting for my reply, and darkness grills me.
I’m spent, only just one breath,
Grey dawn, spills on me now.
I’m staring at the surface of another broken dream, breathe in, breathe out.
It’s hard to believe in a love that bruises,
Welts in line with flinching, by blind adulation
Chorus
Because Love, and all it’s smells,
Let it beguile you,
And the sounds of it cause sighing,
A shiny,
Carousel of youth.
The door to this world, is slow dying .
Waiting at, the entrance are. the eyes and smiles of him
The one whose heart you’re hunting sits patiently within
Verse
Breathe in, breathe out,
Love is as a darkness, something to possess us
They see, they see me,
Trapped in this struggle,
They want me to flee
Chorus
Bridge
Kissing you, for the last time, until the next time
Holding you, for the last time, until the next time
Breathe In, Breathe out, I'm waiting for my reply
